Monk raises middle finger to a man who refuses to make donation

Chiang Mai, Thailand - A monk in Chiang Mai didn't take it well after a man refused to give him a donation.

The monk who raised his middle finger to a non-devotee after he was rejected for a THB100 donation was caught on cam; making him infamous in no time on social networking sites like Facebook.

"I don't know what they were trying to do, but they asked me for THB100. I looked at their desperate faces and didn't say anything," Facebook user Chayuti Janrakongtong wrote.

"Please share and think carefully before you decided to give monks money. Monks are the teachers of the Buddha's Dhamma. They simply do not walk around and ask people for donations. Watch out for those who use the yellow robe as a scam," Chayuti added.

The groups of monks in the photo were said to be walking around and asking for donations by a shopping mall in Chiang Mai, Coconuts Bangkok reported.
