Two Indian
tourists, Rajnish Gupta and Sandeep Dhawan, asked for help from
passers-by on Pattaya Soi 2 Road yesterday, claiming two Thai men snatched
4,000 baht from them.
According to the
victims, the pair approached them while they were sightseeing in Pattaya
and offered them into having sex. When they were distracted, one of the
snatchers took the opportunity and fished out 4,000 baht from Mr. Gupta's
pocket, and ran towards the waiting motorcycle.
The snatchers were
identified as Mongkolchai Tharana, 33, from Chachoengsao, and Thanawut
Nahor, 36, a Khon Kaen native. They were both apprehended in Phetchatragoon
Soi on Pattaya Nua Road.
