Cabbie returns B1m left on seat by auto parts dealer

Another taxi driver left an indelible mark to an auto parts dealer in Bangkok after returning more than one million baht in cash and cheques.

Mrs. Samnuan got back her envelope containing more than one million baht at her house in Ladawan Pinklao housing estate on Boromratchonnanee Road, shortly after she reported the loss to police traffic radio station FM 91 Trafficpro about 1.16pm on Thursday.

The woman told radio station staff she left a brown envelope containing over one million baht, several cheques and a list of her customers in a green-yellow cab she took from her house to her auto parts shop in Yaowarat area about 11 am.

A few minutes after her message was broadcast, she was informed by the security guard at her housing estate, telling her that Cabbie Sutthivarn Pholprasit had contacted him.

Mr Sutthivan said after the woman left his cab he picked up another passenger wanting to go to Suvarnnabhumi airport. The passenger found a red plastic bag containing the envelope on the back seat and told him about it.

He tried to find the previous passenger's phone number in the bag, but failed. He then drove back to the housing estate.
After receiving the money, the woman sent a message to the radio station saying how delighted she was to get it back. She also thanked the driver.
